The Hamilton Club
Lancaster, Pennsylvania

The quality and longevity of the Hamilton Club becomes apparent in the stately architecture of their historic Chateauesque Style building. The importance of this building within the City of Lancaster historic district caused any additions to the building to be carefully considered. This design includes several additions such as an open air dining room, a new accessible entrance and elevator, and renovated and expanded exercise facilities. Several elements that were part of the original architecture of the building were highlighted to create a design that has historic continuity, yet provides for the contemporary functions.

Once completed, these additions will be the first major expansion and renovation of the Hamilton Club in over 25 years, causing several mechanical systems changes to be a necessary part of the project. Several new spaces were created for these systems on hidden rooftops to maintain the aesthetics of the building and its spatial requirements.
