KENNETH D. HAMMEL, AIA
Principal
Ken is the founder of and Principal Architect for Hammel Associates Architects. He has 29 years experience in the field of architecture and has been practicing as a principal since 1984. He has completed more than one thousand projects in southeastern Pennsylvania and northern Maryland and is also registered in Delaware and New Jersey.
Mr. Hammel is responsible for the overall design concepts, detail development, supervision and management of the firm’s projects.

MARZENA WOLNIKOWSKI, RA
Project Manager
Marzena is a Project Manager involved in many phases of project development. Her education in urban planning is a vital tool to city revitalization and historic preservation. Marzena also possesses strong interior design and artistic skills which are essential in developing detailed models, sketches and renderings for clientele. She is proficient in three languages which is beneficial in the communication network between clients, consultants and contractors.

THEODORE L. VEDOCK, AIA
Project Manager
Ted is a
registered architect who brings a strong background in the architecture and preservation fields to each of his projects. He has worked extensively in New England focusing on local public projects. His experience includes both new construction and historic building rehabilitation and addition. The preservation experience which Ted brings to each project is enriched by his volunteer work with local preservation organizations and as the Chairman of his local Historic District Commission.
In addition to his background in preservation, Ted is a LEED accredited professional who has been a featured speaker at the New Hampshire AIA’s annual conference on sustainability and was on the design team for the first LEED certified school in the State of Maine. |

NICOLE O. STURLA, RA
Project Manager
Nicole is a Registered Architect with 14 years of experience in all phases of project
development. International travel has honed her knowledge of architectural history
and styles, and the importance of context in designing urban buildings. Nicole’s graduate work focused on architectural criticism. She possesses strong writing, analytic, and research skills which are essential for developing project specifications,
product research, and construction documents. Nicole’s experience includes commercial, municipal, retail, hospitality, and residential projects, as well as historic building
rehabilitation.

DANIEL E. IRIZARRY
Draftsperson
Daniel has a wide range of experience working as a draftsperson in both private industry and the public sector. He has drafted architectural, landscape architectural and engineering drawings for firms in Puerto Rico and the United States as well as the National Parks Company in Puerto Rico. Living and working in Puerto Rico has also given him a unique understanding of concrete construction.
Daniel brings to Hammel Associates Architects a knowledge base including proficiency in computer-aided drafting, three-dimensional drafting and computer networking. He has a specialized knowledge of AutoCAD and Architectural Desktop. |
